King in Berlin
Summary
When Hitler began demanding certain things the western countries had to oblige because they had to follow the Policy of Appeasement. They feared if they told Hitler no he would start a war, but even though they tried, a war began anyways. When Prime Minister King went to meet Hitler he naively misjudged him and fell for Hitlers act, casually ignoring how the Jews were being treated, deeming Hitler a, 'the sort who truely loves his fellow man.' So Canada tried to isolate themselves from Britain not joining the war until a week later, to show their independence.
