Summary
When the introduction of the Provincial federal party, Parti Quebecois, began they were led by the Quebec premier Rene Levesque. The party was a separatist party, but they were not violent, unlike the FLQ. The party worked towards more equality for Quebec, and in 1977 French was made an official language of government in Quebec and many things would only be shown in French from now on. This new language change caused many of the English businesses relocate to other parts of Canada.
