Summary
In 1970 an international organization that works for environmental conservation and the preservation of endangered species was created. Known as Greenpeace the organization protested various environmental issues and made people realize that what we were doing was hurting the environment. By the 1990s global warming was being discussed and the hole in the ozone, created by CFC gases became a dilemma. The Kyoto Accord was created to make countries agree to meet a certain allotment of greenhouse gases emitted by each country. 191 countries have signed the Kyoto Accord, including Canada, and the countries are working to solve the problem of Global Warming. Since then because of the limitations of CFC gases the hole in the ozone has repaired itself.
