When Iraq brutally invaded Kuwait, many people were horrified and concerned. The US immidiately led the coalition and the Canada and 25+ other countries participated in the liberating of Kuwait. President Bush then declare a New World Order that would be where the UN would police and deal with world affairs, so the UN stopped trading with Iraq but they still didn't leave Kuwait. Because of this Canada began to help in other peacekeeping missions such as, Yugoslavia, Somalia, Rwanda and the Persian Gulf.
