Parliament is a group of representatives who govern the country. A Member of Parliament is elected for each riding (about 100, 000 people) also known as, constituency, electoral district or seat Parliament is divided into House of Commons and Senate The House of Commons consists of all the Members of Parliament, the Prime Minister and Cabinet. Members of Parliament put forth the laws but they must pass the Senate. Senate is a group of unelected 105 women and men appointed by the Governor General and recommended by the Prime Minister. Senators must be 30 years of age, a Canadian citizen, and can remain in Senate until they're 75.
