Summary
Canada stopped immigration because with already so many citizens barely surviving and getting along there was no way for us to be able to support more immigrants. Though people might get offended and say this is not fair because they were only trying to escape worse conditions, if Canada had let in the immigrants that were trying to get away from the Nazi's, then we would have had to allow the thousands of other immigrants in as well, putting further stress on our already disdained economy.
