Summary
The new trend in automobiles in Canada was very benefitial. It created more jobs and higher wages, which helped elevate the economy. The Canadian auto industry was based entirely in North America which helped the economy even more. It created suburban areas and allowed the expansion of communities into rural areas. Being able to travel easily meant people could go anywhere and in less time. The expansion of communities allowed shopping malls to go up because people go get there easily. Even with all the positive outcomes that came with this newfound innovations there were of course disadvantageous qualities. Many people died in car crashes because of speeding, and drunk driving because they weren't educated on how dangerous it was. Seat belts were not used and the burning of the fuel began the emitting and burning of fossil fuels, so it started to pollute the earth.
