Although the Legislators make the laws, is it the Judicial System that has to enforce these laws by interpreting the laws and making appropriate rulings. The Police Force is an example of the Judicial System. This form of governing is based on the Common Law System in England. Most courts(which are always judicial) are run provincially with the exception of the Supreme Court of Canada, which is the final court of appeal. The Supreme Court has 9 judges, 3 of which must be from Quebec. The judges are appointed by the Governor General, based on recommendation from the Cabinet.
