Canada provides aid to countries in many ways and has for many years. Since the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) was formed in 1968 Canada has given funds and assistance to countries in need of industries and infrastructures through the Official Development Assistance to many countries in need of development. In the 22 countries that are willing to provide aid, Canada's ODA organization is ranked the 17th most efficient. Canada also gives aid through Tied Aid, which helps the country but uses the Canadian workforce so it helps Canada as well as the country in need. Canada also links aid to human rights issues meaning that if a country creates and follows human morals and rights they will get aid from Canada, which helps the countries industry development as well as well being.
